I remember just sitting in my apartment, the phone rang, and Jeri Taylor’s assistant Zara said, “I have Jeri Taylor calling for you.” I was like, “Okay.” She said, “You know, we read your script and we liked it and would you like to be on staff at Voyager?” And I think my response was, “REALLY?” You know, this isn’t a joke or something, is it? She assured me that this was a genuine offer.
